Javelin throw can train in many places. I personally am in favor to make technical training on the athlete stadium or special throwing track. What javelin we need??? Is every spear is the same? Well, no. There are several age categories which have different throwing spears. Take a look:

Men:

- Juniors (14-15y.o.) - javelin with a weight of 600gr

- Younger juniors (16 17 years) - javelin weighing 700gr

- Juniors older (18-19y.o.) - javelin with a weight of 800gr

- Youth team (20-23y.o.-javelin with a weight of 800gr

- Seniors - javelin weighing 800gr

Women:

- Juniors (14-15y.o.) - javelin with a weight of 500gr

- Juniors younger (16-17 years) - javelin with a weight of 500gr

- Older juniors (18-19y.o.) - javelin weighing 600gr

- Youth (20-23y.o.-javelin with a weight of 600gr

- Seniors - javelin weighing 600gr

Weight javelins is not the only difference. Another classification relates spears and start training. Training spears are mostly steel and aluminum. Javelins starting mostly carbon javelins. They are much harder than training javelins. They fly better in heavy weather conditions. Perfectly arranged in the air which translates into a distance. Price, of course, it is strongly differing both groups javelins. People begin the adventure of the javelin throw should start very soft equipment and over time and develop their potential athletic pass into start spears.
