Now that indoor season has come to an end it is time to get ready for outdoor. Scheduling outdoor meets in between work schedules and coaching can become overwhelming. Now that I am starting a new job getting time off is my biggest obstacle. So far I plan to go to at least 3 outdoor meets, the Toledo meet, a meet in Adrian, and the Ashland Alumni meet towards the end of April. During the month of May I plan to do at least one meet and hopefully by then I will already be qualified for USA's and I can focus on preparing for the nationals. This year outdoor nationals will be in Sacramento, California. I personally have not been there to compete before in my track career, but I am definitely excited to go once I qualify.

My first outdoor meet was this past Saturday at Siena Heights University near Adrian, MI. For my first meet since indoor I did well. I went 17.01m and I know I definitely have a lot more to work on and improve on. As an opener that is decent and now it's time to keep improving. My next meet will be in two weeks at the Ashland Alumni meet the weekend of April 25. I am confident that if I keep improving on my form and become more consistent the Ashland meet will be a even further. Overall training is going well just not able to put in the time I need to improve more than what I am because of my work schedule. Like I said, one of the biggest obstacles when training post collegiate is finding the time to put in the work needed to be a successful post collegiate athlete and have the opportunity to compete for your country.
